Ghost Mountain
Things are getting a little bit spooky on Ghost Mountain in Alpendorf St. Johann. An unforgettable experience for the whole family awaits children and parents on the Gernkogel at 1,767 m above sea level. Families make their way up to Ghost Mountain using the Alpendorf gondola lift. Once at the top, you will board the Ghost Train to the hiking area on the Gernkogel, an area very much ruled by "Spuki" and "Gspensti" and their eerie pals.

Grafenberg
Take a comfortable, effortless ride on the Grafenbergbahn up to an elevation of 1700 meters, where the adventure begins: from the Grafenberg you can take a raft ride or use the suspension footbridge to reach the "Busy Bee" theme path, then continue on the Hachau slide down to the low-ropes course. On your way to Swing Forest, you will get to stop in at the climbing stadium, before the "Path of Fascination“ takes you back to the Kinderalm. The over 30 adventure stations promise many hours of fun, both for big and small!

Salzburg Open-Air Museum
Just a few kilometers from Salzburg City, you will be able to immerse yourself in our rural past. Join us on a walking tour through six centuries of history, here at Salzburg's biggest museum. 70 buildings from the districts of Salzburg, the Flachgau, Tennengau, Pongau, Pinzgau and Lungau create a fascinating ensemble, but they are just a few of the attractions to be found at this fascinating museum.

Liechtensteinklamm Gorge

Dachstein Skywalk, Dachstein Ice Palace, Dachstein Glacier
During a tour deep within the glacier, one which hides numerous fascinating nooks and crannies, you will be greeted by spaces such as the "Throne Room", the "Crystal Dome" and the "Blue Salon". The Dachstein range is actually a gigantic coral reef, though now almost 3,000 m above sea level. At sunrise on Dachstein glacier, the Dachstein Sky Walk promises an imposing natural spectacle of extraordinary charm.

At Mauterndorf castle, you are about to embark on an exciting journey through time back to the 13th to 15th centuries. At this former Lungau toll castle, you will be able to experience history first-hand -for example in the interactive exhibition with its life-size displays depicting life in former times. The castle is open during the summer months from the beginning of May until the end of October, as well as in winter from the end of December until the beginning of April.

Hellbrunn Palace & Trick Fountains
Experience history in its most refreshing form: Visit this former pleasure palace with its wonderful works of art, explore the spacious grounds and experience the world-famous trick fountains with their grottos, water jets and playful, water-driven features. 

Hohensalzburg Fortress
It is generally held that building of this fortress began in the year 1077, though more recent excavations cast doubt on this date.. The castle was an imperial fief. It is unclear when, precisely, it came into the hands of the archbishops. During the Turkish and Hungarian wars of the 15th century, the castle was expanded. Leonhard von Keutschach brought the castle into a livable condition. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the defensive fortifications of the fortress were once again upgraded.

Salt Mine
Pay a visit to the salt mine and take a ride up the Dürrnberg, where important Celtic finds and a replica Celtic village can be seen. 

World of Ice Giants in Werfen
Even by the late 19th century, this cave in the Tennengebirge was barely even known to hunters and poachers. It was not until 1879 that Salzburg naturalist Anton von Posselt-Czorich was able to forge around 200 meters into the pitch-black darkness, thus officially discovering this world of giant ice caves.
